"NBA 2K" fans are expecting that the 2017 version will be available come September, which is an established release pattern for the game. Fans are also expecting a better Stephen Curry when the latest game version arrives.

The "NBA 2K" series follows a schedule parallel to the NBA regular season and the game's previous releases were around the early days of October. PlayStation Lifestyle previously reported that the game was already confirmed to have a September release date and fans just need to figure out the date. Last year, "NBA 2K16" was released on Sept. 29, the last Tuesday of the month. Thus, fans are assuming that the game will also be released on the last Tuesday of the month, Sept. 27.

Fans can also expect a revamp on Stephen Curry's gameplay. It has been known that the "NBA 2K16" version of Curry is not what fans were expecting. He's rated as the best three-point shooter of all time, but in the game, he does not seem to be one.

Sporting News reported in March that Mike Wang, the game director, and Scott O'Gallagher, the gameplay producer, were looking into the matter and will do the necessary adjustment for the upcoming game.

Wang mentioned that, "Generally, taking deep shots, 30-35 feet, or shooting in traffic, or shooting off the dribble, we naturally penalize those things. Everyone in the league more or less gets penalized in kind of the same way, as they take these bad shots."

"We're taking our time with it, we're going to do it smart and in a way that is faithful to Steph Curry, but more importantly keeps our game the competitive and fun experience that it's supposed to be." Wang added.

For the cover, the game studio is expected to make an announcement come next month, after the "NBA 2K16" Road to the Finals tournament.
