Christian singer Natalie Grant cannot help but feel grateful for her family because of how much her husband Bernie Herms loves his three daughters and how much they love him in return.

"He is their HERO. And they are his treasure. I just love how my daughters are literally clinging to their daddy. Someday they will understand how blessed they are and rare this is," the singer writes on her Facebook page.

Grant notes that many of her fans "have never had what my girls have," and they never experienced the safety of knowing they are treasured and protected by their earthly father.

For them, Grant wants to share the Bible verse found in 2 Corinthians 2:18. It reads, "'I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,' says the Lord Almighty."

Grant explains that the verse is a beautiful reminder that as wonderful as the relationship between a father and his children are, nothing can ever compare to the love given by the Heavenly Father, since He "fills every void and is the only love that truly completes us. There is a hole in every heart that only He can fill."

She adds that the human need for being fathered is deep, but only God can truly meet that need. Grant is encouraging her fans who never experienced their earthly father's love to keep reminding themselves, "I am a child of God. I am His and He is mine."

"Say that truth to yourself over and over. Write it on a note and stick it on your bathroom mirror so that you see it every day," she suggests.

Meanwhile, Grant also called single parents "heroes" because of the sacrifices and hardships they have to face alone in raising a child.
