"Mortal Kombat X" players who also love the Brazilian soccer team can now have the best of both worlds as NetherRealm Studios just released the game's Brazilian skin pack. The "Mortal Kombat X: Brazil Costume Pack" features Johnny Cage's, Kung Lao's, and Liu Kang's transformations. With the new skins, they become Soccer Johnny Cage, Gaucho Kung Lao, and Capoeira Liu Kang, respectively. 

News about the costume pack inspired by the national soccer team of Brazil surfaced last month, but the official release date and price were not provided. Now, Event Hubs confirms that the new skin pack is already available for download via the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and Steam for only $3.99.

Meanwhile, players were waiting for "Mortal Kombat X" director Ed Boon to make new announcements during Microsoft's press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 earlier this week. Instead, Boon told his Twitter followers that he is very excited for the new Backwards Compatibility program for Xbox One, wherein Xbox 360-compatible games will be made playable on the next-gen console. Some of the titles that Boon wishes to be included are "Mortal Kombat 9" and "Injustice: God's Among Us." Backwards Compatibility was mentioned during Microsoft's E3 2015 presentation. 

Still, fans are waiting for any announcement regarding the release of "Mortal Kombat X" for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game developer announced in March that the release date of the last-gen console versions of the fighting game had to be pushed back, but no expected date was mentioned. Recent reports claim that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will come out later this month, but NetherRealm Studios and game publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have yet to validate these reports.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were released in April while the mobile version for Android and iOS devices came out immediately after that.
