Monday Night Football takes place this week with a big match up between the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both teams are teetering on the edge of relevance with .500 records, and both will be desperate to claim the win today to come out with a positive record to take into Week 8.

Both teams have suffered slow starts to the season and come into Week 7 on 3-3.

The Texans were looking good at 3-1 a few weeks back but two straight losses has seen them fallen back and now they face the prospect of sliding to a third defeat in a row.

The Steelers meanwhile have been the epitome of inconsistency, winning a game then losing a game all season long so far. Last weekend they were defeated badly 10-31 by the Cleveland Browns, and if their pattern of results continues they are due a win tonight.

Pittsburgh have won six of their last eight games at Heinz Field so will be confident tonight, although they lost 24-27 the last time they were here against Tampa Bay in Week 4.

Ben Roethlisberger has a 112.3 rating and threw for six touchdowns over the previous three games. Running back Le'Veon Bell has said about him ahead of today's game: "Ben is always a calm guy in the huddle. Obviously when guys aren't making plays there's a little bit of frustration about everything. But he's not throwing fits or tantrums about anything. He understands guys are going to make mistakes."
