Miami Heat NBA trade news: Dwyane Wade headed to Lakers or Cavaliers?

Will it be adios to the Miami Heat for Dwyane Wade?

Wade, who is expected to opt out of his contract with the Heat, is being linked to a possible transfer to the rebuilding Los Angeles Lakers.

If it is indeed true that the Heat is not taking Wade's contract seriously, the Lakers on the other hand can certainly accommodate such thanks to plenty of cap space to spare.

After it was reported that the Lakers and Wade have a mutual understanding, the latest report on the matter bares that Wade and the Heat will sit down (once more?) to possibly iron out contract issue.

Wade is looking for the right pay for his services, something he had sacrificed for the sake of winning an NBA title. Had he opted in, Wade would have been guaranteed $16.1 million this coming season.

Things went sour for the Heat since James went back to Cleveland, failing to make the NBA playoffs last season. Wade has until Monday to make a decision (June 30).

As thing stand now, the Wade-Miami Heat relationship seems to be sour. The last time the two camps talked, a new contract worth $10 million a year was placed on the table according to a source. Apparently the offer was something Wade was not interested in, seeking to get the right pay check after years of sacrifice for the sake of the ballclub.

Unless the Heat are able to come up with a worthy offer, Wade could likely end up with another team.

Aside from the Lakers, another team in the mix is the Cleveland Cavaliers – the same team where his friend Lebron James is playing. But the question is on whether the Cavs have the cap space to do so.

James and Love are expected to opt out of their contracts as well to seek better pay. Assuming they are dangled lucrative contracts, would the Cavs have enough to acquire D-Wade?
