'Mass Effect 4' release date: 'Mass Effect Trilogy' expected for PS4 and Xbox One consoles

"Mass Effect" is one game that every console player must play. And for the game's fans out there, there's good news and bad news.

First, the good news: there's recent word that the "Mass Effect Trilogy" may come to next-gen consoles, particularly PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While there is no set date, The Fuse Joplin says it can happen "very soon."

The Examiner also reported that the "Mass Effect Trilogy" will have DLC packs to go along with it. Developers will be working on bugs on the first three games that were released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So, that's really good news for all players who have already shifted to next-gen consoles.

Now, the bad news: it seems that the anticipated game "Mass Effect 4" won't be seen anytime soon.  According to The Fuse Joplin, the release date in Amazon UK Listing is December 30, 2014, but this is highly unlikely because there's still no definite news about the game from BioWare. However, earlier reports did point to October 2015 as the more probable release date of the game.

The release of "Mass Effect 4" has a small chance of happening this year. Not only is 2015 just three months away, but BioWare also came empty handed at this year's E3. They didn't have any gameplay video or any video for that matter. This clearly means that the game is still not completed or perhaps, still deep into development.

A BioWare spokesperson at E3 said that "Mass Effect 4" is just halfway done. Development of the game started in 2012. If BioWare is really hard at work on this game and they don't encounter any big problems, then there's a chance that it would come out next year. Further, BioWare might just use the tools they used in "Dragon Age: Inquisition," which means that "Mass Effect" will surely be one game to look forward to.
