Playstation Plus free games for March 2015 [list]: Oddworld, OlliOlli 2, Papo and Yo, Sherlock Holmes Crime & Punishments, CounterSpy

Usually, Sony announces its lineup of games for the PS Plus service at the start of the month, even going as early as the end of the preceding month. However, March 1 came and went, and fans were still eagerly waiting for the titles that would come free with the PS Plus deal. Players could do nothing but speculate on lineups that were more rumor than official statements, and others went as far as dredging up past issues, such as the downed PS Network last year, and the communications breakdown that came with it.

Finally, March 3 saw an official statement released in the U.S. Playstation blog, detailing the free lineup for this month's PS Plus.

Topping the list is "Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee," available for the PS4 console. This is a reboot of the original classic game, with revamped design for visuals and sound, and with enhanced controls. "Valiant Hearts: The Great War," also for PS4, tells the story of people during WWI. This is based on the true stories of families and friends of its developer, Ubisoft Montpellier. Set in sprite visuals, this puzzle adventure game is signature Ubisoft as it uses their in-house engine UbiArt Framework

Next in the PS4 PS Plus lineup is "OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood," also available on PS Vita. With a more improved combo system, this sequel also features new modes and game levels.

For the PS3, Sony has announced that PS Plus members can take advantage of "Papo and Yo," and the detective game "Sherlock Holmes Crime & Punishments." Meanwhile, the stylish adventure title "CounterSpy" is available for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita.

All the titles are free for download for the month of March for PS Plus members. Those with no access to the Plus program can buy the titles at the Playstation Online store.
