Problems will beset the entire division while working with a potentially corrupt operative in the upcoming episode of TNT's police procedural series "Major Crimes," Cartermatt reveals.

In "Hostage of Fortune," Captain Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and her Major Crimes Division will find themselves teaming up with a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent with a shady past. New information has recently surfaced about an old kidnapping case that warrants a deeper investigation and they will have no choice but to work with the "crook."

Meanwhile, Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) will hit a major breakthrough in his search for fresh trails on the Alice Herrera case. The new development, however, will make him question if TJ's (Patrick Stafford) friendship is as real as he claims it to be. Cartermatt posits that there will be progress in the said case before summer ends.

Last episode, a case involving the murder of two police officers brought Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Special Operations Bureau and its deputy chief Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney) into the picture to help the division. The operatives were killed in a shooting after arresting someone for selling fake passports. As they were bringing him to the station for booking, an unmarked car carrying "policemen" pulled over. When they went to see if help was needed, they were both shot.

The perp whom they captured, Rico Fornes (Carlos Pratts), saw the whole thing, but since the killers did not see him at the back of the police car, he was left alive. That was their mistake and when they finally learned someone could identify them, they went after him.

Through Fornes, the division was able to put a trap on the fake officers by luring them in a church where the crook supposedly went to see a priest and confess his sins. When they got there, Raydor's team nabbed them. It turned out the "officers" were actually ex-convicts who were robbing older people and that the officers were killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Major Crimes" Episode 6 airs at 9 p.m. EST Monday on TNT.
