Kate Gosselin and her eight children are returning for another season of "Kate Plus 8," and ahead of the show's premiere on TLC the 40-year-old went on the "Today" show to talk to Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb about her children, her show, and trying to find love again as she jumps back into the dating game.

Gifford and Kotb previewed a clip from the upcoming season showing 15-year-old twins Maddie and Cara and their friend at the beach and talking to three teenage boys. In the clip, Kate says that the memory of her twins talking to boys was "etched in her mind forever" and that she was not okay with it.

On the show, Kate was asked how she deals with two 15-year-old girls and six 11-year-olds, and she said that she does it the same way that she did when they were babies. But she admits that it was quite an adjustment for her when Cara and Maddie became teenagers.

"I've heard the 15-year-old thing is scary and I should get ready," she said. But she added that her girls were "good girls" and that now, they're giving her advice on how to dress. And while the twins have not started dating yet, Kate says that they have also been giving her dating advice.

The mother of eight revealed that all of her children have very strong opinions, but daughter Maddie is definitely the most outspoken of them all.

"I don't know where they got it," she joked.

As for dating again, Kate admitted that she has gone out on a date, which will be featured on the TLC show.

"There are some twists and turns that are quite surprising," she said of the date.

On her ideal man, Kate said that she is looking for someone "who can withstand the chaos and the noise of her house."

"A lot of people just can't withstand all the movement in the house," she said.

"Kate Plus 8" returns on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 9/8c on TLC.
