iOS 8 Beta 4 download to release on July 28?

Apple's iOS 8 beta 4 is set to be released on July 28, according to a report.

App Advice claimed that the fourth beta version of the new iOS 8 is set to land on the hands of developers later this month. The publication cited a source from Apple who tipped that the next release date of the new iOS 8 beta version could be either on the 21st or on the 28th.

The latest iOS 8 beta 3 arrived on July 7. It seemed that Apple is following the launch schedule of its beta versions like last year. Last year, iOS 7 beta 4 was released 21 days after iOS 7 beta 3. In 2012, iOS 6 beta 4 followed iOS 6 beta 3 after the same number of days.

It is still unconfirmed how many beta versions the new iOS 8 will get. Last year, iOS 7 got six betas before the company launched the Grand Master version of the OS. In 2012, iOS 6 also had four betas.

Apple first unveiled the iOS 8 last June 2 at the company's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference alongside the new OS X Yosemite. The iOS 8 is scheduled to be officially rolled out in September.

Some of the software features included in the new iOS are updates to the photos, iMessage and the keyboard applications. The search function, Spotlight, and iCloud will also be improved. iOS 8 will also pack the much awaited Health application to manage the health information of the user such as heart monitor, BMI and track medications.

Recently, Apple has made significant changes on the upcoming Health application in the latest beta version of the iOS 8. The new Health application will make use of the M&7 motion co-processor for data sourcing.

The beta versions of the new operating system are meant for developers to tweak their apps to ensure that their respective apps and games will work smoothly on the new iOS 8. The new beta version includes updates and fixes for the bugs found in the previous version.
