Fans of "GTA 5" should not get their hopes up high for the alleged Halloween DLC for the game to avoid disappointment as the possible release for the upcoming holiday is reportedly a hoax.

Earlier this week, iDigitalTimes reported that the alleged "GTA 5 Halloween DLC" is not true and the speculations about it could just be a result of fans' wishful thinking since Rockstar Games has not released a Halloween DLC since the game came out in 2013.

The report explained that since Rockstar Games did not made any announcements regarding the rumored holiday-themed expansion pack on its official Rockstar Newswire site. This makes it impossible to confirm that an actual DLC will be released soon.

Even YouTuber MrBossFTW derived the conclusion that the "GTA 5 Halloween DLC" is fake since the promo image of the supposed expansion pack looks like it was not done by a professional, and the alterations made on the images from the previous Business update DLC has been crudely altered using Halloween-inspired drawings that can be easily lifted online.

Some of the images showed by renowned "GTA" tipster DomisLive revealed that the characters in the said expansion pack will wear shirts printed with Halloween inspiration. But other than that, there is no other information about the rumored Halloween DLC at the moment. This is why several reports claimed that if a real Halloween DLC will be released this year, it will only come with the new t-shirt designs featured in DomisLive's YouTube account.

The most recent DLC that Rockstar Games released is the Freemode Events expansion pack for "GTA Online," which came out last month, and it is yet to announce if it is planning another DLC soon.
