'Grey's Anatomy' season 11: Owen to find new love interest after Cristina Yang exit

Grey's Anatomy season 10ABC

Latest "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 spoilers revealed that Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) will have a new love interest next season.

Dr. Owen Hunt was very frustrated that Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) left as he was still very much in love with her. However, he may find a new love next season, although it may not happen very soon. It seemed that Owen will be handled just like Alex (Justin Chambers) when Izzie (Katherine Heigl) left.

The love and passion between the two run deep and Owen needed some time to heal the wounds and to move on. Show creator Shonda Rhimes said that the writers are "going to give him some opportunities and then dive in when it feels correct."

Meanwhile, next season will also focus on the relationship of Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington). "Alex and Joe are in an interesting place - though I don't know if I would talk about them in terms of their relationship just yet, just because thats not really the focus at the moment. Cristina (who was a mentor of sorts to Alex) has left him these shares and the seat on the board, and what that means for him is complex. Does he want that? Is that what he's looking for? Did he want the money grab that [private practice] provided him, or does he want to be the guy who has a seat on the board? It's a big deal for him to figure out what he wants," Shonda Rhimes told TV Line.

This means that Alex will clash with Bailey (Chandra Wilson) because of the post in the board. It was reported that Alex will make sure that Bailey will have to put up a fight for the said position.

The Season 11 of "Grey's Anatomy" will be back on air on September 25, at 8PM/7PM central.
