Carter's (Kathryn Prescott) family life gets more complicated than ever in the next episode of "Finding Carter" season 2.

MTV recently released a teaser for the upcoming episode titled "The Consequences of Longing," in which Carter catches her newly discovered brother Ben (Ben Witchell) stealing money from her boss. When she confronts him about it, Ben just shrugs hers off and tells her to stop messing with him.

How will Carter handle this situation? Ben is her brother, but she and her new boss Jared (Jackson Rathbone) are starting to hit it off even if she lied to him about her age in the first place. Is she willing to turn in her brother to avoid lying to her boss/potential lover?

Meanwhile, the synopsis for the episode reveals that Carter's secrets will be uncovered by her mother Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros). When the second half of "Finding Carter" season 2 aired early this month, Carter decided to skip school and take a job as a bartender at Jared's bar. But she never told her parents about this, and she has been living a lie for quite a while.

If Elizabeth learns the truth about Carter's new lifestyle, will she allow her daughter to continue working at the bar even if she is still a minor? Based on the synopsis, Carter must work hard to earn the trust back. But is she willing to do whatever it takes to get her mother's forgiveness?

Meanwhile, viewers are also expecting to learn more about Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron), Gabe (Jesse Henderson), and Max's (Alex Saxon) situation after their complicated triangle reached a new high in the previous episode. Gabe admitted that he messed up, but he still wants to make it up to her. But Taylor is already with Max, which makes it harder for her to decide who she wants to keep in her life.

"Finding Carter" season 2 episode 17 is slated to air on Tuesday, Nov. 3, on MTV.
