Fans of the long-running "Final Fantasy" series are waiting eagerly for the release of the upcoming installment, "Final Fantasy XV." While publisher Square Enix has been keeping silent on the developments and other details about the game, the company still touch bases with the franchise's legions of fans through its "Final Fantasy XV" demo title, "Episode Duscae."

Recently, Square Enix decided to entice fans some more by updating the "Episode Duscae" demo. While the first version of the demo game showcased the upcoming title's fluid visuals and gave a taste of how the combat system works, the updated "Episode Duscae 2.0," which comes in at a whopping 3.4 GB patch, has expanded to include a new boss, more character interactions, additional warp points, new character combat moves, and additional sidequests. The patch update also introduces enhancements in graphics and frame rate.

Meanwhile, fans who are waiting for details and information on "Final Fantasy XV" would need to wait until August. In the game's Twitter page, the admin posted that fans can expect a release date, new gameplay footage, and an additional episode demo at the upcoming 2015 Gamescom, which will be held from  August 5 to 9.

Hardcore fans were expecting Square Enix to provide details about "Final Fantasy XV" at the recently-concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo. However, the title was conspicuously absent from the company's anticipated title announcements, which included "Kingdom Hearts 3" and the next sequel for "Deus Ex." Most observers were not surprised, though, since Square Enix already said that "Final Fantasy XV" will instead make an appearance at this year's Gamescom event, where the next major reveal about the title will take place.
