'Fallout Shelter' new update brings exciting features and bug fixes

[Bethesda]

"Fallout Shelter" proved to be a great game to kill time as players all over the world wait for the release of "Fallout 4."

It was rather pretty easy to establish the Vault despite the release of a previous update that introduced the tough Deathclaws.

However, the latest update released this week is set to bring some interesting things — helpful game features and bug fixes — to the game.

The new "Fallout Shelter" 1.2 update now allows players to save their Vault to cloud, which is really great news because the game can now be conveniently accessed anywhere from different devices.

That also means there's no need to worry about accidentally losing or deleting the Vault with this update.

Moreover, 1.2 also lets players skip the time-consuming tutorial. This is especially important for those who already understood the game basics but just need to start over.

Another new feature added to the game is the Survival Mode. In this game mode, the Overseer will be challenged as resources tend to drain at a faster rate; Vault incidents tend to bring more devastation; and there's no way dead dwellers can be revived.

For those who have grown fond of their dwellers, it's best to avoid this new game mode.

Another new change to the game is the fact that the Overseer can loot equipment from dead raiders.

Digital Trends also noted that 1.2 features a Mysterious Stranger, who suddenly appears at random areas in the Vault. This stranger also drops Caps if the Overseer is quick enough to spot him.

Also, a new character was introduced but will only be available for iOS through the App Store.

The new character, Piper, is featured in the upcoming game "Fallout 4" and she will come with free five lunchboxes in "Fallout Shelter." Sadly for Android fans, they won't get this exclusive feature.
