Victoria Justice's thriller series on MTV recently staged its season finale, but there is no word yet regarding the status of the show's second season.

The first season of the series, based on R.L. Stine's novel of the same title, focused on the adventures of tech geek Lindy Sampson who went on a massive hunt for a serial killer roaming around in New York while she also tried to find out what happened to her missing sister Sara, played by Jordyn DiNatale, who had been missing for three years.

By the end of the 10-episode season, viewers of the show found out that Sara is alive, and she was not actually abducted. In fact, Sara faked her own abduction because she wanted to keep Lindy safe. But there are still a lot of questions left unanswered even after the season ended, and fans of the show are dying to find out what is next for the sisters, as well as Lindy's relationship with Casey Deidrick's character Tommy.

At the moment, MTV has yet to reveal its plans for the show, but a lot of viewers are hoping that it could come back to tie the loose ends it left during the finale.

"Eye Candy" showrunner Christian Taylor talked with TV Line about what could be in store for the thriller if it will be given a chance to come back for season 2. According to the executive producer, they would like to expound more on Sara's actions to stage her own abduction to keep her sister safe.

"There's going to be a big conspiracy that we'll explore next season about why her sister did that," Taylor said.

The showrunner also spilled a very important twist that could be tackled next season. Based on his statements, Sara's acts "will be linked to their father."

Will MTV finally announce if Victoria Justice and the rest of the cast of "Eye Candy" will return for another season?
