The latest DLC for "Dying Light," titled "The Following," has now officially launched for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Along with it comes two important patches, as reported by PlayStation Lifestyle. The patch is required to access the DLC as it contains most of the DLC's assets.

According to the report, the patch is either identified as patch 1.06, 1.07 or 1.09, depending on the player's region. The first patch to download is approximately 8 GB for PS4 users, 7.4 GB for PC players and 17 GB for Xbox One players. Only when the patch has been downloaded can the player continue to acquire the rest of the patch contents.

Once the patch has been downloaded and installed, players can access "Dying Light" by heading to the store or Extras menu and looking for "The Following" listed among the available DLC packs. Accessing this will require another 2 GB of data to be downloaded and installed. It is stated that the download size may vary but in general it should be 2.1 GB.

It is also important to note that players must have a character that has completed the main campaign's prologue in order to access the content of "The Following." This is the same for the regular version of the game or for those playing the Enhanced Edition version of "Dying Light."

The patches listed above will introduce a lot of new content to the game as well as a few bug fixes to address stability issues, multiplayer balancing, and enhanced facial expressions. New content added include new weapons, new parkour moves, new NPC models and the introduction of the new Legend system.

As of the time of writing, "Dying Light: The Following" has received high acclaim from video game review sites such as IGN, where it has garnered an 8.8 out of 10 score due to its well-told story, new gameplay additions and the mechanics revolving around the upgradable vehicle.
