When reality star Si Robertson from "Duck Dynasty" nearly got crushed by a fallen tree, he was inspired to write a bucket list of all the things he wanted to accomplish in life before he meets his end.

During the show's episode entitled "The Ducket List," Uncle Si recalled how shocked he was when he found out that a tree fell on the exact spot where he always sat outside his house. "That tree fell right where I [usually] sit. Boys, I was almost a goner," he said during the show.

Other people might take an incident like that lightly, but for Uncle Si, it was where he saw his whole life flash before his very eyes. He then decided to draft a bucket list, which the rest of the Robertson family helped him accomplish.

There were some things in Uncle Si's list that were easily accomplished, but some seemed pretty impossible, such as his dream of becoming an astronaut.

But his dream of eating at a hibachi restaurant and becoming a hibachi chef were easier to fulfill. However, the members of the Robertson clan had to be brave in trying out his dishes.

"If they don't like the food, too bad, they gotta eat it anyway," Uncle Si said. "It's the polite thing to do."

He also wished to go bull riding and fly in a hot air balloon, and he was able to do both with the help of his friends.

Uncle Si had a fun time doing the things on his list, but the paper where he wrote the list flew away while he was riding the hot air balloon.

His brother Willie later reflected that life does not always go as planned, and people should not waste even the simplest moments in their lives that give them joy.

"That's why it's important to take the goals of your loved ones seriously," he explained. "Whether it's giving your mother the benefit of the doubt, cheering your son on as he graduates high school, or even helping your crazy uncle check some items off his bucket list, when your loved ones decide to pursue their dreams, the best thing you can give them is your support."
