Many Christians have been fighting for the rights of the unborn throughout the years. Gospel singer Matthew West has decided to join the cause by singing about it in the song entitled "Untold."

"For years I've been using my platform of music encouraging people to realise how each one of our lives is a story in the making, and how each of our stories can have a great impact on the world. Sadly, we live in a world where many stories are ended before they even have the chance to begin," he told The Christian Post.

West revealed that the idea for the song came when he performed at a benefit concert for a crisis pregnancy centre in Dallas, Texas. He said he met women who shared their stories about the miracle of childbirth. When they told him, "We hope that you might someday feel inspired to tell the story of the unborn," West decided to heed their request.

"I wanted to highlight some true stories that provide each one of us with a window inside the difficult choice many are faced with," he explained. "My hope is that this song along with the stories and resources will be a positive and sincere voice offering people a greater understanding of the value of life and the hope each child should have for a future."

In the song, West sings from the perspective of the baby: "I know you're scared right now / But when you hear my first cry / When you look in my eyes / You'll understand why / You'll understand why / Why you brought me to life."

The music video is also meant to tug at heartstrings since it features a young child and his mother walking in the same forest. They appear to be lost but in the end, they finally meet and gaze at each other with love.
