If there is a part of the Chicago Bulls team that needs revamping soon, all points to the forward positions.

Everyone has heard of the never-ending speculation of Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, and just recently Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotić as players who will likely be hooking with other teams next season.

Noah is likely to see that happen in the offseason once he fully recovers from his shoulder injury. The case could be different for Gasol, Gibson, and Mirotić.

Gasol is expected to opt out by, while Gibson has long been linked to multiple teams. Rookie Bobby Portis is likely to be the lone forward left plus maybe Mike Dunleavy Jr. for a year or two.

Mirotić is also out and injured, so dealing him right now is unlikely to happen.

With that said, the only players who could move if the Bulls are planning any by Feb. 18, the National Basketball Association (NBA) trade deadline, could be Gasol and/or Gibson.

But for whom?

While the likes of Brandon Jennings and Jeff Teague are being mentioned frequently the past weeks, they are players the Bulls don't really need right now.

Rather, focus could be on the other players who are not as loudly being dangled. That includes the likes of Evan Fournier, Otto Porter, and Rudy Gay.

Of the trio, Gay seems to be the one who should be most interesting. However, to snag him from the Kings would require someone of equal talent and value. Could a Gasol for Gay swap interest team owner Vivek Ranadivé?

One thing the Kings are looking for is a shooter and Gasol doesn't exactly fit that niche. He does, however, have a decent shot from the outside which could help the Kings' forward line. But is he what the Kings would want?

Gay offers the Bulls a lot of flexibility. He can play both positions and carries a fine offensive game. But one has to wonder if he can co-exist with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler who seem to already have issues sharing one ball.
