Christian country singer Carrie Underwood is now enjoying the bliss of being a mother after she and her National Hockey League (NHL) player husband Mike Fisher welcomed their son Isaiah Michael Fisher into the world earlier this year.

It looks like the new mother has a lot to thank her good friend and fellow singer Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly since the two of them were the ones who inspired her to start a family of her own. The couple already have two sons: Huck, 8 and Jasper, 6.

Underwood said during an interview with CMT that she actually looks up to Paisley and his wife as parent role models.

"(Brad) was part of the reason," Underwood said about starting a family. "I would see them and how great they are and how sweet he is with them. And as soon as I found out I was having a boy, I was watching them like, 'Aww, I want my kids to be like that.'"

Since becoming parents, both Fisher and Underwood have no regrets whatsoever despite all the extra work they've put in just to keep their infant happy, healthy, and safe. Underwood said Isaiah Michael brings so much joy to them.

"I feel overall like I'm kind of a happier person, and that's kind of weird," she told ABC News about the effect her son has on her. "I don't know why, but I just feel like I'm just kind of in a better mood most of the time, unless I'm really sleepy."

Underwood would like to have more kids in the future, but for now, she's concentrated on her work. She and Paisley would be hosting the CMA Awards again this year in November, and her new album Storyteller is slated for release on Oct. 23.
