"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" recently saw the launch of "The Eclipse" DLC for Xbox One and PC, a month after its April release for PS4. A third and supposedly final DLC pack is expected for the game, and according to a report from Gotta Be Mobile, it is likely to launch this June, after E3 but before "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

E3 is scheduled from June 14 to 16 this year, and the report states that Activision is likely to focus on presenting "Infinite Warfare" given that this is the newest title in the series. However, following the presentation, it is speculated that the company will also announce the third DLC for "Black Ops 3," including confirmation about its release date.

The report continues to point out that the third DLC may be releasing for the PS4 by Tuesday, June 21. Video games have followed a tradition of launching on a Tuesday for many years, continuing the pattern set by "Sonic the Hedgehog 2."

While it is possible that the DLC will release before then, the report states that Activision is more likely to wait until after E3 to focus on marketing "Infinite Warfare" and to give the DLC a proper announcement.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is set to release by Nov. 4, which is why it is rumored that the DLC pack for "Black Ops 3" will release before then. However, the PS4 always gets 30 days exclusivity, which means if the DLC launches in late June, the PC and Xbox One will not get it until July or August.

Details regarding the new additions, story and setting of the third DLC have yet to surface, although fans speculate that the final DLC pack may bring back several maps from previous games or even new renditions of maps from "Call of Duty: World at War" similar to how "The Eclipse" reinvented some of the old World War II locations.
