Although the "Naruto" manga has already ended, the success of the franchise is such that fans are clamoring for the manga adaptation to continue. Good news is that although the main story has already ended, the "Naruto" world will still evolve with what is called "the new generation."

According to Crossmap, a spin-off to the original manga adaptation has been announced by Shonen Jump. The new manga will stay close to the original story and characters since it will be worked on by Mikio Ikemoto, Masashi Kishimoto's artist assistant.

Although Kishimoto – the creator of the original "Naruto" manga – will not be directly involved, he will still supervise the work. The upcoming manga series will also be worked on by Ukyo Kodachi, the writer for other "Naruto" materials in the franchise, such as the "Naruto - Gaara Hiden: Sajingensō" novel and a coordinator in "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" screenplay.

The industry follower mentioned that although details are yet to be confirmed, the upcoming manga will focus on the new generation of Konoha ninjas, particularly Boruto, Naruto's son. The manga will be serialized every month on Weekly Shonen Jump, starting in the spring.

Meanwhile, aside from the new manga, a new anime adaptation is also planned for release early this year. According to Lawyer Herald, a spin-off series based on the "Naruto Shippuden" series is about to premiere. Dubbed "Naruto Shippuden: Itachi Shinden," the new anime series is set to release sometime in March.

The spin-off series will be the adaptation of two manga novels already released. The focus will be on Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke's older brother and was one of the most enigmatic characters in the "Naruto" world. The original manga novel was divided into two parts – "The True Legend of Itachi: Glory" that chronicled Itachi's childhood, and "The True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night," focusing on Itachi's days as an ANBU member and ending with his assassination of the whole Uchina clan.
