On the final episode of the season 6, Frank Reagan managed to stop Mayor Poole when he felt guilty regarding Officer Hayes' death. Poole decided to apologize to the public and resign to his post. Frank managed to stop this objective just before the mayor goes to television.

With Selleck's renewed contract, viewers can expect to see more of Frank Reagan dealing with his job, politics and family. She will be the character of guest star Lori Loughlin of "Full house".

Another guest star for the next installment of "Blue Bloods" is Michael Imperioli of "The Sopranos" who will play as an ambitious lawyer in the attorney general's office. He will lead the investigation of the death of serial killer Thomas Wilder (Louis Cancelmi), who was killed by Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) in an attempt to save his niece, Nicky.

The police procedural drama series amassed 10 million viewers per episode on their sixth season that premiered in September 25, 2015. This is five percent less than with the previous seasons.
