Since the demand for seats at the annual Apple Worldwide Developers' Conference always exceeds the allotted tickets, Apple held a lottery to decide who will be able to attend this year's event on June 8. With the lottery already ending and the event date slowly approaching, observers and Apple fans are speculating what announcements or releases this year's conference will bring. 

A new Apple TV and TV service 

Those who regularly check the yearly Apple event say that based on this year's logo and tagline, "The epicentre of change," the upcoming WWDC will focus on the launch of a new Apple TV. The previous update the set-top box has received was almost three years ago, and observers say that it is now a good time for an upgrade. 

It is speculated that the new Apple TV will integrate with the App Store, so viewers can also stream apps and games on smart TVs. Also, Siri will be integrated, making the Apple TV the core for a packaged home entertainment system. 

The TV service will get an update, too, with Apple opting to stream a package of TV channels for users to choose from. This way, Apple TV users can select which channels they only want to get without paying large fees. 

iOS 9 

For mobile Apple lovers, perhaps the greatest news they can receive is a sneak peek at the upcoming iOS 9. Pundits are saying that if Apple presents a preview of the iOS 9 at this year's WWDC, fans can easily expect the next batch of iPhones and iPads to be released before the year ends, carrying a beta iOS 9 version. 

A new streaming music service 

It is also expected that Apple will foray into the streaming music industry to provide an option of a premium service to millions of those who are currently on Spotify, SoundCloud, and others.
