The Chinese tech company, Xiaomi, has yet to bring its mobile device lineup in the U.S. However, the rumor mill now suggests that the Redmi Note 5A Prime will be the first handset from Xiaomi to reach the U.S. as evidenced by the recent listing on the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website.

Devices appearing on the U.S.'s certification board listing signals their arrival in the market. As reported by GSM Arena, a gadget that looks very much like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime was recently found on the FCC website. To note, the Redmi Note 5A Prime was first launched in China in September, and it was later on introduced in other countries.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime is the top-tier variant of the regular Redmi Note 5A handset, which was first released back in August. The improved design and specs features of the Redmi Note 5A Prime have attracted potential buyers worldwide. For one, the handset has dual nano SIM slots and a reserved microSD card slot to extend storage capacity. The device runs the latest MIUI 9 software, according to NDTV.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime sports a 5.5-inch HD display with up to 720x1,280 pixels of screen resolution. The smartphone is more powerful than its predecessors with the high-speed Snapdragon 435 processor, supported by 4GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU to achieve optimum performance.

The camera department of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime also impresses with a 16MP main shooter with 76-degree wide-angle sensor plus an independent soft light flash. The image sensor also has f/2.0 aperture and real-time beauty filters for high-quality selfie captures.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime keeps a non-removable battery with 3,080mAh capacity for long-lasting use. When the smartphone finally arrives in the U.S., the Redmi Note 5A Prime will run the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.

GSM Arena mentioned that the only way for U.S. residents to get a Xiaomi handset like the Redmi Note 5A Prime is to import it from another country. It was reported that the Chinese tech titan has been carrying out network tests to determine if their mobile devices are compatible with telecom service providers in the country, such as Verizon at AT&T.
