Video games are going to get better with Xbox One X. Microsoft recently announced that it plans to enhance 70 games on the first week of Xbox One X's launch.

Albert Penello, Xbox senior director of console marketing at Microsoft, made the revelation on Twitter this week. He said that around 70 games will undergo the Xbox One X enhancement on the console's first week of release. This is aside from the 160 games already confirmed to be enhanced.

Penello did not lay down which games will be available on that week since Microsoft has certification patches to deal with, but some have speculated that "Forza Motorsport 7," "Assassin's Creed: Origins" and "Halo 5: Guardians" will get updates at launch.

In a separate tweet, the Xbox executive also mentioned that games that are not included in the Xbox One X enhancement program will still be able to provide better performance on the console. He said that on Xbox One X, games will load faster and give improved textures.

Additionally, consumers who won't be able to utilize the system's 4K support capabilities can still benefit using the Xbox One X. Those who play Xbox One X games on 1080p TVs will have their games enhanced and supersampled for 1080p.

Microsoft has made it clear that they are giving developers the freedom on how they would want to use the features of the Xbox One X and video game fans will have plenty to choose from the list of enhanced games.

The Xbox One X is touted as the most powerful console to be released, with a 6 Teraflop 1.172 GHz graphics processing unit (GPU), 12 GB of GDDR5 random-access memory (RAM) and 326 GB/s of bandwidth memory — cooled by a liquid cooling vapor chamber. One of the biggest selling points of the Xbox One X is 4K gaming support.

Earlier this year, Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition's pre-orders were sold out as it went on sale. The regular Xbox One X consoles are still available for pre-order at various retail shops.

The Xbox One X will be released on Nov. 7.
