Worship Music 'Can Rock', Says Rebecca St James

|PIC1|Grammy Award-winning Christian artist Rebecca St James, currently co-headlining the Worship Revolution Tour in the US with British rock band Delirious?, recently told the Sacramento Bee newspaper that worship music "can rock!"

St James said: "Last night I watched Delirious?, and the show really does rock. It's very edgy and modern, but it has a purpose of drawing people to God. And that's the difference. It's not just entertainment."

The Worship Revolution Tour kicked off March 14 in Pennsylvania and will wrap up April 12 in South Carolina.

Martin Smith of Delirious? comments on the tour: "We need a 'worship revolution' every day to remember what it's all about. Our job as musicians, worship leaders and artists is purely to lift up the name of Jesus and let people see Him for who He is. We want to create an atmosphere in which people can come with their hearts and tell Him that He's amazing."

St James and Delirious? paired up last year to share the stage in Germany for a joint concert.

In addition to the tour, Rebecca St James will be among the artists featured on "We Pray", the theme song for the 2007 US National Day of Prayer on May 3. The track will soon be available at iTunes.
