We won't always understand everything God is up to- that's why He requires our trust and faith, says Kari Jobe

When contemporary Christian singer Kari Jobe experienced a "really sweet" night of worship and surrender, the singer found herself contemplating God's mysterious ways, saying that people might not understand His plans but He always knows best.

"We won't always understand everything God is up to - that's why He requires our trust and faith," she wrote on her Facebook page. "It's better to be in a place of sweet surrender and watch God turn your heart and emotions to line up with His good plan."

Jobe added that God is always faithful and He is able to see "a little further down the journey" than His people, and that is why people feel conflicted whenever God tells them to do something they do not like or believe in. The singer explained that people only want to say "yes" to God when their journey is one of "comfort and understanding," but when things get difficult, then the resistance begins.

But if they allow themselves to surrender to God's will during these difficult times, great things happen, and Jobe for one is willing to surrender everything to Him.

"I want to always have my yes ready before He even asks me for my surrender," she said. "I like His plans more than mine anyway, cause when He shows up with His presence and He speaks and moves...well, those are the moments I live for."

Jobe's husband Cody Carnes is a worship leader, and the singer often gushes how proud she is of him. He has recorded a new song called "Walls," which best captures everything Jobe has felt about surrendering to God's will. "It's a prayer and heart cry for us to surrender and let our walls fall down in the Presence of God, to let Him infiltrate every part of our hearts and lives," she said of it.
