UK skate ministry to hold first ever conference

The UK Skate Ministry Network will host a conference next month for leaders involved in ministry to skate culture.

The unprecedented conference will be held at the Factory Skate Park in Dundee, Scotland, and will be another first for the pioneering Christian ministry.

Phil Williams is head of Christian Surfers UK, a group of surfers who are also committed Christians wanting to tell other surfers that they too can have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

He said: "We felt this was the next logical step for us as a group.

"We've seen God do some amazing things through skate ministry, and we want to begin to envision both young and old in the UK to see what God is doing with skate communities throughout the UK and Ireland."

Speaking about the far-reaching nature of the initiative, Williams added: "We have already had confirmed bookings from South Africa, America and mainland Europe and we really excited at what God will be doing through this weekend.

"We believe God is changing lives through Skate ministry and we want to move forward with this ministry."

The conference at the Factory Skate Park, Dundee will take place from 9-11 November.
