"Two Point Hospital" is a management simulator game that is slated for a fall 2018 release. Ever since it was announced the upcoming game (developed by Two Point Studios) has been hailed as a spiritual successor to the 1997 business simulator "Theme Hospital."

An announcement trailer for the game was uploaded to Rock Paper Shotgun on Jan. 16. A little over a minute long, the game begins on a serious note. One of the doctors narrates that the goal of Two Point Hospital has always been to help and to heal its patients. He then goes on to tell the story of a man named Trevor, and this where things get a little bit weird and surreal. Trevor was a healthy man who lived with his wife, all was going well with him until one night... his head turned into a light bulb.

Following his strange ailment, he was admitted into Two Point Hospital.

The doctor then goes on to explain that Two Point Hospital is a multi-million dollar facility filled with trained staff who are ready for everything. However, while his words are reassuring, the trailer features Trevor being manhandled by the hospital staff in the background.

It is a strange trailer that starts out serious enough but ends with a rather silly twist. Those looking for a more serious hospital management game might be better off looking elsewhere. Two Point Hospital is goofy and knows what it is.

The synopsis on their official Steam page reads: "Design stunning hospitals, cure peculiar illnesses and manage troublesome staff as you spread your budding healthcare organisation across Two Point County."

While "Two Point Hospital" has a rather silly twist to it, the game has all the mechanics of management simulator. According to Steam player will have to build and customize the hospital, cure patients of strange illnesses, manage their staff, expand their hospital, and compete with friends.

The game comes with a multiplayer mode for both cooperative and competitive gameplay.
