'Tom Clancy's The Division' news: 'Incursions' DLC to bring new gears and endgame; pack to arrive April 12

Ubisoft

"Tom Clancy's The Division" will be receiving the "Incursions" DLC, which is the first of two free downloadable content scheduled for the game. The expansion pack will bring in a new endgame activity designed specifically for team play. It will also bring in four rare gear sets and a loot-trading feature that makes sharing of loots with teammates easier.

Falcon Lost, the first Incursion, is set in an underground water-treatment plant and is the Last Man Battalion's stronghold. A great amount of teamwork is needed in order to succeed in Incursions, and gamers need gears of high level, 30 to be exact, and must expect a high level of resistance. In return, teams successful in this activity will be rewarded significantly, as announced on the UbiBlog.

Ubisoft, the game developer and publisher, gives great importance to the gears that players will be carrying, so four rare gear sets will also be included in the DLC. These include the Sentry's Call, meant to enhance precision; Striker's Battle Gear for players concentrating on assaults; Path of the Nomad, for the lone wanderer; and Technician's Authority for supporting players designated as healers. Once every piece of equipment is complete, an additional talent will be added to the player. The blog added that this is for the players to find out for themselves.

Falcon Lost will also be offered in two levels of difficulty, namely hard mode and challenge mode. Ubisoft eliminated checkpoints, meaning once a team is wiped out, they have to start all over again.

Another main feature included in the DLC is the Loot trading option. This feature will let a player drop a loot and let their teammates have it rather than using the menus. However, the condition is, as GameSpot added, eligible teammates are the ones who are present during the loot extraction itself.

Supply drop is also added in the Dark Zone, which is another object to raise interest between players. This happens periodically and will be protected by worthy opponents.

Ubisoft also mentioned that "Incursions"will be followed by "Conflict" later in the year and is said to be set in New York's Columbus Circle. Additionally, three paid DLC packs are also coming to the game and will be released throughout the year. These include "Underground," "Survival," and "Last Stand."

"Tom Clancy's The Division" is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
