Console fans of the "The Sims" will have to wait a little longer than expected before they get their hands on the fourth main game. "The Sims 4" is said to be having a few technical issues and will not be released anytime soon.

Maxis and The Sims Studio, the game developers, seem to be having a hard time porting "The Sims 4" game from the PC to the current video game consoles. It is still highly speculated that the life simulation game may not make it on its planned released date. However, Electronics Arts or EA, the game publisher, has not really mentioned any specific date or time frame when they will release the ported game.

The game studios released "The Sims 3" in June 2009 and ported games arrived October the following year. Now, fans are also expecting a similar time frame. "The Sims 4" was released September 2014, and is expected to have the ported version by first quarter of 2016. However, no sign of the game is in sight. Fans are seeing a technical glitch as the cause of this delay and many are expecting that it may arrive by late 2016 or early 2017.

Additional rumors surrounding the game mentioned that EA might include the Pet Expansion pack when it arrives on the consoles. This is said be a way to compensate for the delays..

Meanwhile, the reports added that Windows and OS X players of "The Sims 4" are highly anticipating a new expansion pack that is said to be "super cool." A unisex feature is said to be coming and will allow male and female characters to have interchangeable hairstyles.

Currently, "The Sims 4" players enjoy several add-ons to the game. These include two expansion packs, two game packs, six stuff packs and three digital deluxe upgrade packs.

EA has not made any official announcement with regards to the delay or the release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of one of its most successful game franchises.
