Testimonies Overflow as Churches Surpass 2000 Hours of Continuous Prayer for London

|PIC1|A Year for London - a prayer movement which will see hundreds of churches across London praying in a non-stop chain throughout 2007, has now prayed continuously for more than 2160 hours since it began at the start of this year.

With individual churches and organisations from all denominations signing-up to pray in various daily slots, the movement looks set to become one of the biggest prayer movements ever seen in the capital.

Up until the end of March, 90 full days had been filled with prayer - which equates to 2160 minutes of non-stop prayer for "Thy Kingdom Come" in London. Until now hundreds of churches have taken part in the prayer event, and many days have been booked up in advance for the coming months.

Testimonies of the grace received through the extended periods of prayer from London's churches have been overwhelming as congregations have united in force to pray together.

Among them are:

The congregation at RCCG King's Chapel has received so much grace that they have now committed themselves to pray one full 24-hour slot together every month till the end of the year.

The Sanctuary Stratford is another church that has committed to pray every first Wednesday of the month till the end of the year.

Inspiration House Old Kent Road has signed-up to a similar standard, praying on the last Friday of every month till the end of 2007.

She has admitted that there is now more of an awareness than before and her members understand the need for praying for London. The church congregants have also listened to Biblical message on the theme 'Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done' - the theme of the Year for London.

Victory House, Old Kent Road saw a Drug addict surrender his life to Christ as a result of prayer. The church has testified its renewed passion to pray for London and have recently signed up to participate every Thursday till the end of the year.

The prayer for the London has also seen churches further away sign-up to pray for the nation's capital. Holy Ghost Zone in Coventry, despite not being part of London have chosen to pray every Friday till the end of the year.
