"Tekken" is one of the most popular fighting game series to date, second perhaps only to "Street Fighter," but no official release date for "Tekken 7" has yet been announced. According to a report from the Latino Post, however, North American gamers might be able to see expert players give it a try during the EVO 2015 competition.

The Evolution Championship Series has been known to use console versions of the video games they include for the competitions. When the annual competition began, it used actual arcade cabinets but this was no longer the case following EVO 2004. Most games use their PS3 port but EVO 2014 notably played games on an Xbox 360.

Since EVO 2015 will use the home console version of the fighting games, some are speculating that it will also run a home console version of "Tekken 7." According to a report from Cross Map, it is very likely that Bandai Namco will release the game on home consoles simultaneously with its appearance during the EVO 2015 competition.

EVO 2015 will be held from July 17 to 19 which might be the most probable dates that "Tekken 7" will officially launch in North America.

A report from Breathe Cast indicates that the game might come out just a month later, sometime in August with a PC port coming out before the end of 2015. If this is true, then it indicates that the version of "Tekken 7" to be used for the EVO 2015 event might not be a home console version but the arcade version.

A report by IGN says the competition will see the game in its arcade version.

"Tekken 7" was recently launched in Japanese arcades and sees the return of characters such as Jin Kazama, Paul Phoenix, and Yoshimitsu while also introducing new characters such as Josie Rizal, Lucky Chloe, and Katarina.
