Filming for "Suicide Squad" is still ongoing but according to a report from Screen Rant, the production is done with the exterior shots on the streets of Toronto and is now moving to the studios. Accompanying this move is director David Ayer's post via Twitter promising fans that despite the leaked set photos, there are still many surprises intact.

"Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact," tweeted the director. He then thanked the crew and the city of Toronto, saying, "I believe in old school filmmaking. Real stunts. Real people. Real places. It makes all the difference on the screen. Thank you #Toronto."

Leaked photos have been a recurring issue for the film ever since it began shooting. Fans have started posting crude shots of Jared Leto's Joker interracting with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, and there has also been a leaked video revealing a previously undisclosed cameo of Ben Affleck's Batman. A few photo leaks of Killer Croc have also gone viral.

It is important to note that the leaked photos and videos do not show the film's content in full context. None of the major plot points have been spoiled and fans have only thus speculated whether some of the scenes were flashback sequences or in the present day.

However, there have been a few reports that put these photos and videos into context.

According to a recent report from Cinema Blend, Batman will break into Amanda Waller's office and intimidate her, telling her that it is dangerous to rely on a group of criminals to handle missions for the government and that he will hold her accountable should things go awry.

This would explain why Batman is in the film but it does not justify why Ben Affleck was also seen on set as Bruce Wayne or why Batman was pursuing the Joker in a high-speed car chase.

"Suicide Squad" will be released in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
