Ever made so many horrible mistakes in your life that the only solution it seems is to give up? Well-known comedian and TV host Steve Harvey knows that feeling very well. After enduring years of hardship and homelessness, Harvey wondered if he was right in trying to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

If not for God giving him the proper motivation to keep on going, Harvey might have already given up. It was a good thing he pushed through despite all the challenges he faced because Harvey is now a millionaire who has made a fortune doing what he loves — making people laugh.

The comedian was taken back to his days of hardships as he was talking to a stranger in the airport about God's grace. "I started looking back at my life and the countless mistakes I've made in my life. Mistakes that got blown up in the media and mistakes [you all] don't even know about. It's just been some pain I've been in," he writes in an op-ed piece for The Huffington Post.

Harvey hopes other people will take a cue from his life and "hang on" despite all the pain they've dealt with. Whenever things get rough, the comedian says God is always there to help.

"If you keep your faith in God... there is an appointed time for you and it'll bust open for you. It'll never bust open if you quit. This journey we're on [isn't] about who gets there first, it's about who hangs in there until the end. The race isn't given to the swift but to him that endureth to the end," he says.
