Through a relationship with Christ, every believer is given access to a life full of impossibilities made possible because God's grace through Jesus gives us both the ability and opportunity to see greater things happen in our lives. None of this happens because of who we are or what we can do but because of who God is.

Have you ever tried to achieve a certain goal and no matter how hard you try, you just seem to grow farther and farther from seeing it fulfilled? We've all been there, and in those moments it can be easy to think that we fail God because we couldn't get things done.

This is going to sound harsh, but know that there is more to this thought- apart from Christ we were already or are currently failures. Romans 3:23 tells us, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We've all missed the mark and even our best efforts will fail to redeem ourselves and to see any sliver of purpose or success.

Sure we can earn a load of money, get good jobs and acquire material things, but at some point our best efforts will fail us if we depend solely on our capacity. In those times, God speaks to us in the most audible way possible- we are to trust in His strength and not ours.

Proverbs 3:5 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding." How easy it can be to put things in our own hands and try to take control of our situation, but there just comes that time when Jesus says, "be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)

David declared it best when he said in Psalms 73:26, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Indeed, no matter how many times we fail, God will continue to pull through for us. He always lets His promise come to pass, and sometimes He asks us to take a few steps back and leave the rest to Him.

2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

In moments where we fail, God will not fail and we can put all our trust in watching Him make all things work together for our good. Though our best efforts fail, God's efforts will never fail.
