Last year, Sony introduced an Xperia Z3 variant withh a dual SIM feature and this particular model ventured outside Asia. The Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633) found itself in European countries such as Poland.

There is a big chance that Sony will do it again with the forthcoming Xperia Z4. A new FCC document revealed that Sony is working on a dual SIM variant of the much awaited handset. According to the leaks, the Xperia Z4 PM-0850-BV will be the single SIM version, while the PM-0851-BV will be the dual SIM model. However, other details about the smartphone remain unknown.

Dual SIM smartphones are more popular in Asia where most people prefer prepaid rather than postpaid subscriptions.

Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia Z4 may see the light of day and is predicted to arrive at the Mobile World Congress on March 2. Further hinting its imminent arrival are the certifications the device allegedly obtained in the U.S. and Japan.

In Japan, the Xperia Z4 reportedly got certification for PM-0792-BV, PM-0793-BV, and PM-0794-BV, which corresponds to Japanese carriers. However, the certification did not reveal the specs and features of the smartphone.

Also, an FCC certification of the said handset was spotted in the United States. The FCC filing did not reveal much detail about the smartphone except that it will support LTE bands 2, 5, and 7.

The Xperia Z4 is purported to come in various models and variants with a full line consisting of various screen sizes and with quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) and full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolutions, which consumers can choose from. Other features include Snapdragon 810 SoC, Adreno 420, 4 GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 24-megapixel back camera with dual LED flash and 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

Concrete details are expected to be revealed on the official release date of the handset.
