Android 5.0 Lollipop has so far been rolling out for smartphones but it seems that Samsung is expanding that now to tablets.

Samsung has apparently started seeding the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS to Samsung Galaxy Tab S10.5 LTE units though it may be for a select number of regions only.

The said list where Android 5.0 Lollipop would be released includes European regions such as Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Switzerland though it may eventually radiate in other countries soon.

This bit of news follows the initial rollout of the Android 5.0.2 OTA which was initially made available to Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 WiFi units only. This time, focus will be for the owners of the 4G/LTE version which is certain to gain lots of cheer.

It would be wise though to do the necessary preparations just in case the update is already available. Be sure you have a fairly charged tablet (50% to 80% to be safe) and make sure you have reliable and stable WiFi connection before applying the said update.

These two factors are necessary since the firmware update is quite big. The said update which sports a T805XXU1BOCC internal designation dated March 17, measures a hefty 1.7 GB.

While Samsung is currently seeding only to the said regions, folks who are not covered can resort to a manual download and install instead. You can download the said update and apply a manual install. The link can be found here. Before applying it, make sure you have backed up important date before proceeding just in case something goes wrong in the process.

However, users from unlisted regions could opt to prolong their patience a little bit more. Especially for the non-techies out there, awaiting the official OTA would be safer.
