Rob Kardashian tweets prayers, Bible verses after skipping his sister's wedding
Flew back to L.A. ahead of Kim and Kanye's Italian nuptials
Rob Kardashian has broken his silence after skipping his sister Kim's wedding to Kanye West on Saturday.
In a series of tweets on May 26, Rob wished his 4.6 million followers a happy Memorial Day, then quoted the Bible and prayed to God.
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD. Psalm 33:12," he posted.
"Lord Jesus, protect those who protect me- police, firefighters, and those in the military.
"Teach me to pray for them and to honor them for their service. Amen."
His last tweet read, "GOD BLESS AMERICA."
The sole Kardashian male has been under a microscope since he flew back to Los Angeles from Florence, Italy on Saturday morning, while the rest of his family was still in Europe attending Kim's wedding.
In addition to skipping the wedding, Rob did not attend the family dinner on Wednesday, Friday morning lunch at designer Valentino Garavani's château, or the rehearsal dinner Friday night.
Initial reports claimed that Rob, 27, had a fight with Kim, 33, about his weight on Friday morning.
"Rob said he was sickened by Kim and Kanye's display of wealth and clothes and beauty and called it 'superficial bulls***' but Kim was pissed that Rob hadn't made an effort to drop any weight over the past few months," a source told X17.
"Rob basically thinks Kim cares about him only for his appearance and he said he'd 'make life easier' for her and just leave."
Other sources said that there was no fight with Kim, but that Rob did not want to be around crowds and photographers because of his own feelings about his weight.
"He just didn't want to see a bunch of people both nights and really just is not feeling like himself," a source told People Magazine.
"He is really overweight and having a hard time with it."
Rob's weight has fluctuated greatly over the years, with the sock designer citing poor food choices, lack of exercise, and depression as the causes.
In regards to his most recent weight gain, he tweeted May 20 that he does not believe in therapy, and will lose the weight on his own time.
"I'm aware that I'm fat that def aint a surprise to me lol and my only therapy will be in the gym anyways," he wrote.
