The first-person shooter, survival horror game "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is returning in December with a Gold Edition and two more downloadable content (DLC) packages, "Not a Hero" and "End of Zoe."

The "Not a Hero" DLC trailer was released on Sept. 21. It featured fan-favorite Chris Redfield donning a military suit and running across a dark abandoned mine in search of some of his missing agents. He eventually comes across BSAA agent Lucas Barker, but shortly after that, a horde of zombies appear and things go downhill fast.

This action-packed DLC will be free-to-play to those who already own "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard."

Meanwhile, the trailer for the second DLC, "End of Zoe," was released on Oct. 16.

Unlike "Not a Hero," the DLC "End of Zoe" will not be free to play. However, those who purchased the Season Pass will receive the DLC as a free update. Not much information has been released about "End of Zoe" yet, but according to PC Gamer, the DLC promises new monsters and swamp-filled areas.

Compared to "Not a Hero's" more action-packed trailer, "End of Zoe's" trailer featured mysterious snippets of Zoe's memories alongside Chris making his way through another facility.

The game's Gold Edition will come with all the game's DLCs and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It is scheduled to arrive on Dec. 12.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is the seventh main game in the "Resident Evil" franchise. While its predecessors were all third-person shooters, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" changed up the formula with a first-person point of view.

The change warranted mixed feelings from the fans, but overall, the game received favorable reviews. "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" has sold over four million copies since its release in January and has garnered a rating of 86 from game review site Metacritic.
