Pope Francis danced with a group of Hasidic Jews on Monday as he hosted a delegation at the Vatican.

The group of Hasidic Jews, led by Rabbi Edgar Gluck, were hosted in a 45-minute audience with the pontiff, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

A video of the meeting has been posted online, and can be watched below. In it the Pope is serenaded by a jubilant audience with the song 'Long shall the years satiate him'.

Some next to Pope Francis dance, and while the pontiff is not moved to an energetic jig, he does appear to do a gentle sway to the music.

During the meeting the Pope discussed issues including the protection of Jewish cemeteries in Europe and the fight against child sex abuse.

The pope pledged to support 'stronger rules against destroying Jewish cemeteries to build roads or homes', Rabbi Gluck's son Zvi told Yeshiva World News.

Zvi later tweeted that Francis had promised 'zero tolerance' for child sex abuse and was clear that 'We need to keep kids safe.' Zvi is the founder and director of Amudim, a support group for Jewish victims of addiction and abuse.

The German-born Edgar Gluck is the chief rabbi of Galicia, in Eastern Europe. He spends his time in both Brooklyn in New York City, and Poland. He is a member of the US Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad and has supported the preservation of Jewish cemeteries in Europe for decades.

The pope had reportedly invited Gluck to the Vatican to continue a discussion begun when they met last year in Krakow, Poland for Catholic World Youth Day.
