Paul Walker's family have begun planning a special funeral for the late actor who tragically passed away last week.

The Fast and Furious star's sudden death on Nov. 30 had shocked his family, friends and fans around the world.

The late actor's friend told HollywoodLife.com: "They have not decided when the funeral will take place, it is still a work in progress. They want to make sure that everyone who wants to mourn will be together and all schedules match. They hopefully will have more of an idea next week."

Friends and family have been grieving at the Walker family home. It was previously reported by E!News that F&F co-star Tyrese Gibson is helping with the funeral arrangements, but the actor denied the rumors. He tweeted: "Respectfully I post this.... People are saying I am involved in the planning of Paul's funeral this is false information I am not involved."

The plans have yet to be revealed by the family.

This week, the official autopsy reports on the death of both Paul Walker and Roger Rodas have been revealed. Walker was a passenger in the red Porsche Carrera GT with driver Rodas when the car went out of control and crashed into a tree and a pole before bursting into flames.

According to autopsy reports, Walker died of traumatic and thermal injuries, while Rodas died of multiple traumatic injuries. A toxicology report is still underway.

A makeshift memorial site was made shortly after the fatal crash with friends and fans gathering at the site to pay tribute to the actor.

Walker had been in the middle of shooting the 7th installment of the Fast and the Furious movie series before his sudden death.

Universal Pictures released a statement regarding Walker and the future of the F&F film: "Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers.

"At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker."
