Pastor Greg Laurie from Harvest Christian Fellowship says Christians should know that God looks at all sins the same way, warning that one sin is enough to drive people away from heaven.

This was part of what Laurie said when he addressed over 32,000 people who gathered recently at Angel Stadium in Anaheim for SoCal Harvest 2016, according to The Christian Post.

Laurie said the only way people can really get to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, however, he said religion is driving people away from Jesus.

People also have the mistaken assumption that they're guaranteed a spot in heaven because they do good deeds and do not kill, steal, or indulge in adultery. But Laurie said everybody has broken one of the Ten Commandments one way or another, which means that every sinner is just as guilty as a murderer.

"You might say, 'Greg, I am not a murderer, I think I am OK.' Yeah, but Jesus said, 'If you are angry with your brother, it is the same thing.' Have you ever been angry with your brother? Let me restate the question. Have you ever driven on the freeways in Southern California?" Laurie jokingly said. "Maybe you haven't committed murder. Maybe you haven't committed adultery. But, you have committed sins and one sin is enough to keep you out of heaven."

"The Bible says that if you have broken one point of the law, you are guilty of all of them," he said. "We have all crossed the line. We have all broken commandments."

He said the 10 Commandments are very clear: "Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not lie. Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain." Laurie encouraged the congregation to be very honest with themselves, because they've all been guilty of one or more sins at some point in their lives.

The good news, however, is that Jesus has already given up His life for people's sins. So even though every one on earth has been marred by sin, they can still have eternal salvation, Laurie said.

"You see the past. He sees the future. You see a mess. He sees a message. I don't know what state your life is in, but I am telling you this on the authority of the Bible: God can change your life tonight," Laurie assured.
