New Christian teen magazine launches

|PIC1|Christian teenagers around the country will now be able to pick up a new glossy, handbag sized, faith-based youth culture magazine after it launched on Monday.

Packed with real-life stories, fashion, beauty, grooming, music, interviews, relationships, career and problem pages, Streetbrand says it is inspired by the Christian faith but not preachy and is aimed at 14 to 22 year olds who love God or identify with the Christian faith.

Streetbrand will be published three times a year and will provide content for, by and about Christian teenagers across all denominations as well as positive and inspiring stories about young world-changers.

The magazine aims to defy the current boy/girl crazed, sex-oriented teen magazines filled with celebrity gossip that are the mainstay by offering readers a well-balanced diet of fun, teen-oriented features and thought-provoking articles that cover issues such as social action, making a difference, impacting the world, loving God and regular discussions with teens across the country.

Kofo Baptist, who is behind the launch of the new Christian teen magazine, said: “Our aim is to position Streetbrand as the ‘go-to’ publication for Christian youths who want an alternative youth magazine.

“Streetbrand is an accessible magazine and we feature stories that encourage young people to embrace a healthy and positive lifestyle. We feature lots of music covering all genres of Christian music from Brit-rock to gospel, pop, hip hop and beyond," he said.

"Streetbrand is tailored to both sexes, so our SBgirl section will keep girls up to date with the latest fashion finds and guys can check out the SBguy section for top grooming secrets, gadget finds and more.”

Streetbrand already exists as an online magazine and a Christian teen social networking site.

The Streetbrand magazine is out now, priced £2.50 or £7.50 for an annual subscription.
