Naya Rivera has been written out of the "Glee" season five finale, providing more fuel to the rumors that she has been fired from the show.

Multiple sources report that Rivera's character, Santana Lopez, will not appear in the May 13 finale episode. The reason for the omission has not been announced, but rumors abound.

Talk of Rivera leaving the show began last month, after sources reported that "Glee" star Lea Michele walked off the set after a fight with Rivera.

Allegedly, Michele was interrupting filming to handle personal matters, and cast and crew members became irritated. 27-year old Rivera intervened on behalf of the staff, and told producers that Michele's behavior could not continue. According to sources, when Michele found out about Rivera's complaint, she stormed off the set.

A second version of the events ends with Rivera walking off the set after an argument with the 27-year old Michele.

Another rumor is that Rivera was fighting with the hit show's producers, and Michele was not involved at all. One source told the New York Daily News that Rivera "went off" on April 15, "but it had nothing to do with Lea."

Rivera's former fiancé, rapper Big Sean, canceled their engagement on April 9.

"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," a representative for the rapper told US Weekly.

The couple went public with their relationship last April, and got in engaged in October. The "Glee" star was seen wedding dress shopping about a week after the engagement announcement.

Rivera's rep released a statement on Tuesday denying that the actress has been fired from the show.

"Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from 'Glee' are absolutely untrue," the statement read. "End of story."

The rep did not address Rivera's removal from the finale episode.

The "Glee" season five finale airs May 13 on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
