Natalie Grant helps launch Faithgirlz books and Bibles for young girls

Natalie Grant will be writing a series of books for Faithgirlz.

As a mother to three young girls, it is important for Christian singer Natalie Grant to find books and other forms of entertainment that her daughters can not only enjoy but learn from as well.

So when Zondervan, an international Christian media and publishing company sought her out to help re-launch Faithgirlz, Grant was happy to get on board. The Faithgirlz brand has a series of books, Bibles, devotionals, and other products aimed at guiding girls ages 9 to 12 with their spiritual development.

"As a mom to two almost-tween girls, I understand more than ever the need for quality, entertaining products and books for young girls that will also unlock their faith in a deeper way. I want a young generation of girls to not only have a better understanding of who Jesus is, but a firm grasp on who Jesus says they are," Grant wrote on her Facebook page.

She shared a recent Barna Research study, which revealed that the pre-teen years are pivotal for spiritual development.

"Nearly half of all Americans who accept Jesus Christ as their savior do so before reaching the age of 13. 50 percent of those will be led to Jesus by their parents. It's imperative we equip a young generation of girls with the truth of God's word and do all we can to help them in their faith journey," stressed Grant.

In the upcoming months, she will also be writing a children's book series that "may hit close to home" and it will be released January 2016. It will be about three sisters and the adventures and mischief they encounter while going on tour with their singer-songwriter mother.

"While mom is on stage and thinks her kids are in bed, they're actually off solving mysteries. Super fun with great life lessons and spiritual application in every book. Can't wait to share more with you when I can!!!" said Grant.
