Surface Pro 4 to be revealed by Microsoft? Latest rumor roundup

Will Microsoft Surface Pro 4 look exactly like the Surface Pro 3?

Microsoft has yet to beat Apple's iPad sales with its Surface Pro 3 product line, but the company is now reportedly working on the new Surface Pro 4 to strengthen its hold on the tablet market.

The Surface Pro 3 line was earlier rumored to be discontinued by the brand, but Surface general manager Brian Hall claimed that "Businesses can buy with confidence. We are here to stay."

He also hinted about the possible future of the tablet line, saying that Microsoft and the team responsible for the product "are pleased to share that the following Surface Pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the 'Pro' line of Surface."

It means that they are still planning to come up with next-generation Surface Pro products sometime soon.

Several sources also revealed to DigiTimes that Microsoft is planning to develop new Surface tablets with larger displays compared to the present size of Surface Pro 3 despite the dismal sales of the current product.

The sources mentioned that the future Surface Pro models will possibly come in 13-inch or 14-inch variants. However, the company or any of its representatives have not released any statements confirming the claims of the sources.

Meanwhile, Product Reviews mentioned that the possible design for the next Surface Pro model will be similar to the design of the Surface Pro 3.

Microsoft intends to market its tablet line in the business sector. Currently, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is being used by major corporations and institutions in the U.S. like Coca Cola, BMW, Louis Vuitton, the Cincinnati Country Day School as well as the University of Pittsburg Medical Center.

If a new Microsoft Surface Pro will be unveiled in the future, it could be pitted against the rumored upcoming iPad Pro tablet from Apple that will reportedly also target the business segments.
