"Mama June: From Not to Hot" returns with a second season, as the reality TV family faces more daily life issues and family drama. Mama June Shannon, well the now slimmed-down version, faces various issues as many extreme life changes overwhelm her.

The season is approaching its third episode, titled "Go Go Juice Gonna Make Mama Win," as the next chapter of life unravels for the family. June trains to join beauty pageants under the tutelage of her daughter Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson. Meanwhile, strange ailments plague her other daughter, Pumpkin Shannon, as it worries her significant other, Joshua Brandon Efird, and the people around her. Suspense intensifies as June confronts ex-husband, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, in court.

Season 2 kicked off with big news as June finally revealed her new boyfriend Geno Doak in the season premiere. The show's main star had kept her relationship with Geno a secret from her family, but he has finally met June's two daughters. June seems to "have found love" and "feels like a kid again" with her new boyfriend.

The first season of "Mama June: From Not to Hot" documented the life of June on her journey for revenge against her ex-husband through an extreme makeover. Season 1 saw June as she struggled through drastic weight loss, the misdeeds of her offspring, and her whirlwind of a love life. It has developed a large audience, following the success of "Here Comes the Honey Boo Boo!" — a TV series about her daughter Thompson, famous for her "Go Go Juice."

Television network We TV confirmed in August of 2017 that the show would be returning in 2018 for an all-new season with ten episodes.

As reported by ET last year after We TV's announcement, season 2 will focus on June and how she copes with her new life, and more on her daughter Pumpkin, who has just recently given birth to her first child.

"Mama June: From Not to Hot" airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on We TV.
